Anyone watch this soap? Please bring back the Old Victor. This character he is playing, I want to slap his face and say SNAP OUT OF IT!! Writers please ...what are you thinking? This show is becoming a JOKE!

YES I agree,, I mean with them killing off John we need Victor back. It's the perfect time for him to come riding in on his big black horse and steal Jabo (spelling?) out from under that fake wanna be Gloria. Why couldn't they have killed her off instead.
And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE just let Nick and Sharon be over,, I hate her, have always hated her two faced, back stabbing,, victim role. I want her and Brad to be caught sooo badly!!!!

OK! I am totally lost! I heard last weekend that they killed off JOHN!!! What gives? Anyone have the true lowdown? Did he want off? Or did he get the shaft?
I think the new Victor is fun to watch! The old one will be back- and with a vengeance. I agree it was wicked of Jack to keep Gloria from John's funeral, but it's just a show- it would never happen in real life. I agree she did love him. That sets the show up for some interesting money/inheritance battles. Unfortunately, it reads like the back and forth from Bold and Beautiful.
As far as Sharon and Nick, why couldn't they let just one couple be happy?
I am so disappointed not to have seen "Tracy" . I remember watching her when she was in love with Danny and the Professor and Brad. WOW! Has she changed much?
Someone fill me in!!! Please!!!

I tuned in yesterday for the first time in about a month... I can't believe they killed John, I always really liked him. For the love of god, why couldn't it have been JACK, ugh I hate him sometimes. I've heard about the Victor thing...didn't I see him sticking his hand in the fire place about a month ago? Yeah he's on some "spiritual quest" or something, right? That doesn't sound like the Moustache at all - come on Victor, snap out of it!
I also think it was really mean of Jack to give Gloria the wrong time for the funeral. Say whatever you will about Gloria's past, she loved John and deserved to say goodbye to him. Although, I had always hoped Gina and John would get together - I liked them.
Sharon is whiny and annoying. Nick is also whiny and annoying, and needs to shave.
Did I hear that Brad killed his family? lol I always liked Brad, I thought he was so hot. Not as hot as Malcolm, mind you, but HOT. This show has gone through a lot of changes...the first episode I ever watched was Nick and Sharon's wedding, I was either in grade 6 or grade 7...I loved Sharon's dress. *sigh*
Sidenote about yesterday: New Billy sucks. Where is David Tom? I loved him, I thought he was SO CUTE. (too bad about Billy and Mac, I loved them together.....)

The tonal changes in Y&R are the result of Lynn Marie Latham's (she's most well-known for her work on "Knots Landing," "Homefront" and "Port Charles") assuming the headwriter role. Her mandate is to increase ratings, and so far it's working. One of her strategies is to get casual viewers to tune in more often by picking up the pace. I agree that this has resulted in some jarring, out-of-left-field storylines, but CBS and Sony are happy with the improved viewership.
Considering that, it's completely likely that Victor will be back to his old ways pretty quickly.

I got tickled seeing Tracy again....She is Colleen's mother!! I remember watching it when Tracy fell madly in love with Brad (the pool boy...).
Anyway, Victor does plan to return from the monastary (ha ha). I've always enjoyed him. And - Despite everything about Gloria, Jack shouldn't have given her the wrong time for John's service...That was just rude. Back to Victor - Yes - He's coming back.

Yea i agree totally I hate the new victor. Slap him one for me too. I don't know what they was thinking it sucks watching him like this. I love the old victor newman. And him and jack being bestfriends whats up with that it reuins it all.

I agree. I cannot wait till Victor whips Jack's and brad's butt...but a combination of this new Victor and the old would not be too bad..
and Cheryl--I agree on your take of the new Billy. He cannot act and seems to be in a world not of ours...
