Personaly I would love to be on a ballot. I don't know who is really qualified to do what we need for this country but what I want is someone who will actually work on getting the things in this nation fixed. I am a republican so you can imagine where my opinion lies on many of your topics but those are really minor issues when you consider that our drop out rates are higher than anyother developed nation, Crime is disperportionate to the demographics and our Socio-economic Class system is so skewed that the middle class is disappearing as the working poor become more and more plentifull. What I want is a candidate that will Give me action instead of Lip service. One that will make our country His/Her major focus and not spread our resources thin in wars that are and can be a financial drain. I support our current administration and will any other administration that we get my hope is that any will be one that focuses on the UNITED STATES and the Issues within its borders.
For the Record I am very Serious I would love to be on the ballet. And I have some very Strong opinions about the "State of the UNION"

No ,I wouldn't because Id be afraid it would splinter the vote for whatever major party I supported as a whole..My views are liberal enough to vote Democrat and work for change within the party ,but I could never vote republican and to me a vote for a minor party would do just that.
Religion to me is a personal choice and has no place in politics or government, stem Cell research must be continued ,its a viable way to save lives, civil rights need to be addressed for legal Americans, terrorism is a universal problem and defense is a high priory to me but not offense until its necessary, then crush them if diplomacy has failed.Illegal immigration is one of the top priorities on my list,no amnesty, strengthen the borders ,deport all illegals and eliminate the anchor baby loop holes. That's how I will vote in mid term and in 2008.

To get my vote, a candidate will have to show me his or her knowledge about the real problems affecting this country: Society (Civil Rights, AIDS epidemic among black people, school system failure etc...) also, what the candidate would do to make the country more secure versus the Terrorism phenomena.
Furthermore what attitude the to be President will have on the world scene because of our position as a leader any move from our Leader will affect the whole planet!

If Evan Bayh left the Democratic Party, he would make a great third party candidate. He is liberal on some points, conservative on others, but basically down the middle on most issues. He knows how to hold the line on spending which is a big plus on my list. He helped Indiana with holding the line on spending and it created a surplus. Now, Republican Mitch Daniels is doing the same thing and there is a small surplus. Sorry to say, there are somein his party that are not listening to him. That is what I want from my government, stop spending money on stupid things and create a surplus and pay down the national debt.

Hmmm, I'd select someone who is moderate on the issues, as the two extremes are already covered by Reps and Dems. Also, someone who has name recognition, but isn't tied to corporate donations. Like, I dunno, Oprah or Bill Gates or someone :-)
