I took my Basset Hound puppy to get his shots and flea bath. When I brought him home he playfully bit me with his little sharp teeth and even though I didn't bleed too much, I could see a tiny tiny amount ob my blood on the bite. Is it dangerous? Should I do anything? Could this be dangrous for my baby?

properly, it in all probability became your fault, yet I easily ought to admit that i might want to likely do an same aspect if I said a pup operating loose. I easily have, easily, and that i have stuck tremendous canines besides, yet they have come to me at the same time as noted as or coaxed and that i did not scruff them, yet positioned a leash on them rather. As for absolutely everyone saying that this pup is weird and wonderful, per chance that is basically dealing with an apprehension degree. I had a tremendous blended breed who became afraid of each little thing at the same time as she became that age,and that i have also had a VICIOUS 3 week old pup: <<<

I don't think he would be a threat to your baby. You are only 3 months pregnant so you still have around 6 months for him to grow.He should be out of the playing and biting stage by then. Try using your fingers to slightly pop the end of his nose when he decides to do this. Good Luck!

seriously dubt anything will happen to your baby. most puppies are fine without shots, but be safe anyways. but a bite will not harm your baby in the least. the worst it can do is puncture your skin and draw a little blood. so dont worry about it, your baby is safe and sound from the vicious lil puppy bite...lol

no dont be silly. you do need to nip this in the bud while he is still young tho.. let him know that biting is not an acceptable form of play!!! dogs do this naturally in the wild so it will be tough to break him of it. if he bites you while youre playing, immediately cry out... like youre seriously injured... and then just walk away and ignore him for a little bit. ( a few minutes) do this EVERY time and eventually hell get the hint.

Does this mean when you get a mosquito bite you are going to freak out too? Don't worry about things like that! Like any other bite, keep it clean and don't let it get infected.

I would not think that could be harmful in anyway. If you have not had his rabies shot however, i would mention it to your doctor and see what they say. I highly doubt a puppy nibble can hurt you though...

well, jackie, i think anything that would bite the baby is dangerous. his l'il immune system is not going to like these nasty bites. whether it's a flea or the gaping, gnashing maw of a shark, it's up to you to prevent it if you can.

as long as the pup has had his shots you are fine and so is the baby.

i was about 3 months pregnant when we got our puppy and those pup teeth are SHARP! been there....but everything is fine as long as he has had his shots.

oh, and i recommend the PetSmart puppy training classes! they helped us train our pup and also, gave us great tips on getting him ready for the baby!
plus, training your puppy will help keep you active:)

take care.

keep the baby away from the dog when you arent there to watch them. hes just being a puppy and its natural to nip and bite. just dont give the puppy away because its not his fault....

Your baby is in your womb. Not your hand or wherever the dog bit you. Unless the dog had rabies, there is no problem.
