It is absolutely necessary. To many "criminals" are behind bars for a herb that has been used by humans for all history for medicinal purposes. Alcohol makes ppl get mean and stupid and lose thier judgment and kill people or drive and kill people and themselves...but it is LEGAL? Pot makes ppl mellow and stupid and hungy and prone to laughter, I think pot should be free...especially in prison!

Oh yea and to the guy worried about tobacco companies "taking over" the pot industry? It is a weed that grows. well...like a weed. Indoors outdoors many climates it grows. Tobacco is a hard *** plan to grow only works in those warm humid climates. The tobacco companies are most worried about pot being legal, them and cotton and alcohol. They are the reason it is illegal not because its "bad" but because it is economically threatening to the established coorporations and their future profit margins. Pot was made illegal so that the cotton growers could have a monoply on the market for fibre used in making the ropes for rigging on ships...cotton is weaker and rots faster so it needs to be replcaced more ofter= great product for the seller....hemp is strong and lasts 7x longer than cotton=bad product for the seller...especially sellers of cotton.

The huge money machine that is weed will never allow it. No government control, no restrictions, no lawsuits, and a police force/judicial system to limit competition. This is GREAT business! Does anyone think the billions (maybe trillions) of dollars in the drug trade is done by thugs and hoods? It is most likely done by the folks that pull the strings of governments and they will protect their virtual monopoly.

If we do, more people are going to be spelling "legalizing" like you do. And I really do not want that at all. Nor do I want to be walking down the street and have people blowing weed smoke in my face. Stop trying, it's never going to happen.

And if they do end up legalizing it, I would just go on a killing spree and annihilate the whole stoner population. So either way, it's really not going to happen.

I say NO. My wife has been smoking weed for 20+ years. She suffers from massive paranoia and can no longer make a decision of any kind. Do you want to raise kids in your future and not be able to converse well enough with them because you have brain damage? Those brain cells are gone forever!!!

Does it really matter? No police are out there trying to catch people who sell or buy weed. The only time it matters is if you're pulled over and have some on you or if you have the paraphernalia.

I think that is a great idea. It blows my mind that alchol is legal and weed is not. If they don't commercialize it, they should at least let me grow my own. What is so wrong with me sitting on my couch and getting high while I watch cartoons?

People get more intoxicated from drinking than smoking. Alcohol messes w/alot of organs. Weed kills brain cells -which grow back.

I'm not a fan but it should be legal. People smoke it wether it is or isn't and it's better for you than cigarettes. It's all natural and no chemicals added. it was never illegal until (i forget how long ago) they thought it was making people go crazy and kill. Now we know better. So I say yes.

I think it is much better than alcohol you don't see stoned people showing there *** , starting fights , reckless driving or getting sick and just being obnoxious. The world would be a much happier place!
