How much of it did u need for it to work, and how long does it take? I know many ppl say it's used more for preparing the uterus to contract rather than actually causing u to contract, nevertheless, I heard it helps.

Red Raspberry Leaf Tea DOES NOT induce labor.
It strengthens the uterus so that your contractions will be more productive when they do come.

EDITED TO ADD:
Many women drink it every day through their entire pregnancy. Some caregivers do suggest waiting until you are out of the first trimester to start it.

I have to agree with the posters that said IT IS NOT FOR INDUCING LABOR. I don't know where that misinformation started. It is for getting your uterus in shape. It will help you labor by making the contractions more useful. But you have to take it the entire 3rd trimester if not the whole pregnancy. I took it with all three of my pregnancies. I actually take it even when not pregnant. It regulates hormones (thus helping with PMS) It is an all around WOMAN'S herb. Every woman would benefit from it!!

In pregnancy I have heard that drinking one cup every day in the first trimester, two in the second trimester and three in the third, is wonderful for not only your health during pregnancy but the effectiveness of labor.

I did. It doesn't induce labor or contractions. It just thins your cervix. I drank 2 cups a day, 2 tbs per cup.

i drank 3 cups a day from 36 weeks onwards.....dont really no if it helped, i had a pretty easy labour 2 b honest(but have nothing to compare it to as it was my first).
It does apparently prepare the cervix for labour....it doesnt atchually bring on labour.
