I prefer girlfriends because sex in the city was too much about clothes and shoes and alot of people watched just for the fashion, gf's (although the people had money, even the youngest is a poor. little rich girl)is was more about friends being there for you, which made the season ending more meaningful, let's see Toni forgive Joan..

I like both. But I prefer Sex & th City, because they can be raunchier, as it's on cable. Girlfriends is sometimes funnier though.

Sex & the City. Better writing, better acting, better show, IMO. Also, I can relate to the show whereas I can't relate to Girlfriends.
