Chinese movies are as good as hollywood, what do you think??

I was surprised how Chinese low budget movies compare to big budget Hollywood ones. The road home, to live are all fantastic movies. And romance is also very good.

I think that everyone gets caught up in the american idea that if you throw more money at something it's better. A more expensive car must be better, etc. Hollywood is, and has been for a while making crap movies. Bollywood and Hong Kong/Mainland China movies are often better. Every country produces some garbage film, that's the nature of the business, but I am a big collector or HK action films and Bollywood films. I have almost 400 HK films in all genres, and almost 100 Bollywood movies (I've been collecting them for a little over a year now.) Remember, Hollywood is best if they are blowing crap up. The rest should be forgotten.

Hollywood movies ain't good lately!

China, for instance, know that they don't have the budget to make a super movie with super FX, so, they focus on something that is way to much important: the plot. And when you can put together plot and FX, you have beautiful movies ;)

Better, my friend. South Korea is also putting out some good stuff. Check out Old Boy, No Tears For Mr. Revenge, and Natural City.

When you consider the multi-millions it cost to make Hollywood movies, it seems wasteful.

But there are lots of crappy Chinese movies that did not make it to the US. Lots.

I agree, Indian movies too are just as good as your basic commercial hollywood crap!
