not one for mixing one tune into an other but software that can distort and change the speed of a tune. sum where along that line.

You'll need Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software to start, but it's the effects plug-ins that do the tweaking.

I use Cakewalk Sonar, and they have a demo download on their site: http://www.cakewalk.com

A friend uses Adobe Audition, and they have a demo (click "try now at http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/)

Acid is a good one too
