I've been bought loads over the years and they're all rubbish.
It's not like it's hard to use right handed ones anyway.
I've always got along fine.
Turn tin openers upside down.
Turn corkscews the other way.
Scissors! What a waste of money!
If life's so hard for us we should be given a disability allowance from the Government.

I'm not left handed so I've no idea. All sounds like a con to me. I promise I will never give you a left handed corkscrew.

My father is left handed. At school (in the old days) the teachers tried to make him write with his right hand until his mother went up there and told them off.

Left handedness used to be looked upon as suspicious and strange, didn't it? The Latin word for left is something like sinister or sinestra.

So as a freak you should get some sort of disability allowance.

I actually do find left-handed scissors to be quite useful. Plus, it's always fun to watch a right-handed friend pick them up and find them completely impossible to use. As for other tools and gadgets, I've adapted to the tyranny of the right-handed majority. Perhaps the disability allowance for lefties should be for having a greater risk of injury and shorter life expectancy (see link below).

I totally agree! I'm a left-handed person, and I've always found it even more difficult to use left-handed items rather than right-handed items. I've taught myself to use scissors, corkscrews, can openers, and various other items right-handed, and you're right - it's not difficult. As for being given a disability allowance from the government...I'd love it!!!! :-)

The only useful thing I once bought was a notebook with one of those spirals in the back that opened up the other way round.
Then I realised I could just turn the regular notebooks upsidedown and back to front and use 'em like that and then I felt really stupid.

My goodness you lefties whine a lot! LOL I live with a leftie and he has a lot of similar complaints. His latest tirade is over golf clubs - he's trying to buy new ones and the in-store samples are all right-handed. We need a real-life "leftorium"

Are you by chance an engineer or something that deals with math? I have a theory which i'm sure you're going to debunk! :)

Vegetable peelers, man, for pity sake, think of the peelers! There should be swap centers everywhere.
I cry myself to sleep nights thinking about the waste.
