Here is a perfect example...lol!
When I was growing up it was either you were with someone or you weren't.
Now a days you have folk that hook up, some are dating, some are partners, some are talking, some are seeing each other and booty calls; some like, some care, some love, some feel-for...
I think it mostly relates to the nuances of the word or the thing you are trying to define. There can be subtle differences when labeling something or someone.
I live with my man and he is my friend, lover, companion, partner, teacher, student, solace, buddy.... And when I introduce him I just say "This is Steve".
People need to know relationships of things- Steve is related to me in all these aspects, but folk expect- husband or significant other as a relationship label.
You should see the looks we get when we say : "He's my mate" or "She's my woman".
And the relationship doesn't necessarily apply to personal things- it was just the first thing that popped into my mind :)

Old shades that are dusty and in 1970's colors can really detract from a room, they may even have a little dog stain on one corner. New shades made with natural materials can add ambiance and elegance to a room they are shades of meaning!

that's all the homework hints I'll give for this one. Homework is intended to enhance one's cognitive skills and is best done by oneself. Otherwise, how would you train yourself to learn and retain information?
