Dude I am from the MS gulf coast and 100% agree with your 360 page. The damnocrats have no sense of personal responsibility any more. The idiots cry blame blame blame.

chocolate city nagin and blowhard blanco should be charged with murder of all of those people that died in N.O.

It was absolutely their own fault. The ones that couldn't get out could have at least made it to a shelter instead of their homes. They had every opportunity with the lead time they had. I would have left or gone to a shelter. I am sorry so many died though. I am not heartless.

The federal government responded as quickly as they could. New Orleans was not the only city hit and nobody could predict the damage that happened. It was a huge storm and a large area got hit. It seems everyone thought that there must of been a huge fleet of trucks or something that were just waiting to go in after it was done. I agree with Bush when he said that the feds had to wait for the state and local authorities to say whether they were needed. The Governor of Louisiana did not say come on in. It was a tragedy and I did my part by giving a little money to the Red Cross. The tragedy that happened needed more than the federal government. It needed everyone to pitch in. The federal government cannot solve every problem.

funny how the media settles in to New orleans and has failed to make the wide spread damage along 100s of miles of costal communities that are in fact white .
THEy are also complaining and it is falling on deaf ears the matter was closed before it was open .Blacks are not treated the same as whites and when this issue flared up the people said look lets send them a couple of bucks so people do not think we are racists and be done with it.WITH the media focus on the blacks in new orleans and you have to wonder why the JEWISH run media did this OVER and over footage of people looting the stores and little mention of a car dealership police raided in order to have transportation .
SEE we are missing the point here .BUSH hates blacks and the jews think they should all be slaves still .SO i am not supprize that for years and years the media makes personel responcibility the norm and america bought it .
I remember growing up that we had lost the key to the front door to our home and for years dad never bothered to get it changed out .In fact you could walkin day or night . The doors where never locked except twice that i can remember and that was because on the news a man was lose in the area who had escaped from police .THIS was the day when neighbor knew neighbor and everyone was getting along and america was indeed the greatest nation on earth and that all ended in vietnam .WAR is a bad thing whenit is seen as wrong by the world .
THE french had given up so what made america think we could do any better ..WELL back to katrina .
SEEMS the central issue has become how best to spend the money and it looks like most of the people who owned the land would be happy to sell out .THE problem is that 40% of the area was owned by the blacks and this is the problem .
THEY have set up strict rules and you must prove that a property belongs to you so many of the records were destroyed and lost during the storm .That some people and towns along the coast have lost all records and it is going to take years to sort out .
SOME people where living on family land and had never even registered it in some cases .THEY had just been there so long and did not bother anyone .SO this storm has wiped out "what "over a million homes and is so big in nature that Bush was told by the jews to forget about it and they would see to it that in 7 Years the area would be straightened out the coloreds gone and a safe port city for the U.S.A..
SEE alot of drug traffic ran through the harbor and lots of the workers where involved and the drug rade was not slowing in america at all .AFTER katrina drug prices took a steep rise and meth began to rear its head again all over the south and up into Indiana Ohio tennesee kentucky .LOTS of drugs floowed out of the BIg easy .and bush wanted it to end ...

Thank you for asking.

If Buffalo, N.Y. is the armpit of America, then Katrina made a visit to the poop chute. This historic part of America, where there existed an overwhelming apathy for the current administration, crimes against humanity occurred to the same degree as what Saddam did to the Kurds.

The mostly black population, many of whom were not on the voter rolls, many whom were very poor, many of whom were statistically unknown to the government were knowingly allowed to be sacrificed to a storm of biblical proportion. There was no doubt in the mind of any informed individual what the consequences would be when and after the storm hit.

What really gets me is that the American Government can responded to issues around the world in no time at all with all kinds of resources (mostly your tax dollars), but when it's own citizens are lying in ruin, pestilence, death and destruction it takes weeks initially to resound and still after more than a year the poop chute has not been wiped clean as it should.

I will always refer to this travesty as the 'Great American Enema'.
Where the leftover shite was allowed to stick around.

I just remember sitting in front of the TV for about 4 days watching human beings like they were fish in a fish bowl suffering. While ole Dubya was off on vacation somewhere or another thinking EVERYTHING was just fine. Bush and his administration thought they would let local authorities handle everything while you and I could easily see things were out of hand. Oil again was a major factor, not race like many want you to think. By taking his good ole cowboy time, us folk down here in FL and the south could get it up the backside with HIGH HIGH gas priices. Notice no hurricanes this year, yet prices don't come down? Bush and his oil bro's have me and you right where they want us, IN OUT POCKETS!!! Stop whining about racism, we all know Republicans HATE ANY COLOR BUT WHITE!!! If Bush had his way he would send Dicky boy down there for a hunt. We know Dickliss likes shooting peeps.

I think more people could have left the city before the storm, A lot of people are just stubborn, but I know that there are a lot of poor people that live there, that probably couldn't afford to leave. I meam if you have no money, no car, where are you going to go?

I think it is stupid to think that if the city was mostly white that help would have came sooner.
And then what about those people that were shooting at the military that was there to help??? The whole situation was messed up

i cant uderstand for the life of me why they can even think of blaming the us government, your right, it was all upon the people to move, then nagin told the us government not to help he could handle the situation by sending them all to the super dome, what a joke, ,,,, while the devastation is bad in new orleans, it is nothing compared to the mississippi coast, focus on rebuilding that...

I think for someone who's not there and has little to do with the subject your opinion matters very little to me.

Everyone has an opinion, you wanna be politician, do something about it if it's so important to you.

You won't change a single mind on this website by spewing your opinion everywhere.

{EDIT}

This has little to do with being leftist or rightist. I'm leftist but I do agree in some ways. I think the guy at the top needs to stop stereotyping.
