There are options out there for these kinds of problems, but you really need to be more specific. What kind of pain, where, what have you tried, etc.

I am 37 wks pregnant and I have had this same problem up until last week. I had talked to my doctor and he said that every womens' body reacts differently to pregnancy. He said that even though you have increased discharge when your pregnant some women have less and that can make intercourse painful. I had even tried lubricating jelly which helped some but not completely. So my husband and I abstained from sex until last week and the results were better(not perfect). Don't have sex if it hurts just because your husband can't go without sex. You're having a baby and you need to listen to your body, not his hormones. Good Luck!

I would discuss this with your doctor, but if it is causing you pain then I wouldn't do it. There are other ways to make your husband happy and I am sure he doesn't want you to be in pain either. Give it a few weeks and if you feel like it then try again. It might also be that you just need to use a lubricant because you are feeling tense about hurting your baby. Congratulations and Good Luck

well, i noticed that certain positions were a no-no for me while pregnant. certain positions just caused a good deal of discomfort and sometimes some pain.....
i would suggest trying different positions or else just ask him to give you some time and satisfy his need for the vitamin-P in other ways:)

my husband and i haven't had very much sex since i got pregnant b/c of:
-nausea at first, but then he was kind of weirded out by it and now, i'm so big and uncomfortable that the thought just makes me tired!!!
so, we improvise!

also, talk to your OB about this. they may be able to explain why you're feeling this way and perhaps they can suggest some ways to help!

take care.

I had pain when i had sex too in my lower right side that felt like a cramp. My doctor told me in my case it was just round ligament pains that you sometimes get from walking and doing some minor exercises. You usually get then between 14-24 weeks. You should still contact your doctor. I am now 37 weeks and I am still having sex and the pain eventually went away. Good Luck!

It depends on the type of pain. Talk to your doctor! One thing that I've heard is more common when you're pregnant is urinary tract infections (UTI). If you have one, it causes pain during sex from the area that urine comes out. You can drink cranberry juice and water and avoid caffeine to dull the symptoms, but you should see your Dr.

Lady if your having sex at 23 weeks pregnant because you need to gratify your mate then you will need to do these two things.

One: Make sure you examine the babies head carefully for indentations shaped like a phallus.
Two: Have your mate's head examined for the same next.

NO don't have sex becuase if it hurts it's because your baby is positioned in a certain way. he can wait sex to men is better when a female is preg. try again later when you think your baby has moved. but personaly I would not chance it. from a mom with 2 kids and 1 misscarage. congrates to you and good luck

Pain is a sign that something is wrong, so if you are having pain you should abstain from intercourse until after you have the baby. If your husband loves you he will understand, and there are other ways to satisfy your husband, so I suggest you use one of them if you want to "please" him. Good luck with your baby!!!
