I think so... I have both great curves AND a pencil skirt! I think it looks great, on curvy women especially. Who want's to look like... well... a pencil.
I think that olive oyl was best left in cartoon land! That kind of figure is nasty to me and most men prefer a little cushon for the pushin. Every guy who I have ever been with loved my butt especially in a snug fitted skirt.
Walk up a flight of stairs in front of him and listen for the cat calls!

As long as they are tailored properly to your figure they will look fine on you.
Find a skirt that fits over your hips and thighs. If it's too loose in the waist (as another hourglass mine usually are) then take it to a dry cleaner's or seamstress to get it nipped for a better fit. The skirt shouldn't be snug, all that does is make you look heavy. Instead, it should have enough room so that sitting or squatting doesn't pull the material tight. Try it out in the dressing room by sitting, walking around, and squatting. If it's comfortable, then it's a good size.
Try slimmer fabrics like a polyester/rayon blend over denim and wools. Don't get a too tight one in spandex either.
If you aren't sure, get one at a discount store like TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall's, Target, or even Wal-Mart. Then if you don't like it, you didn't spend that much.

Absolutely. I don't know what has happened to the media in America over the last decade or two, but women with curves are THE BOMB. And showing them off with a pencil skirt is a much more discreet manner of public sexiness than these clueless twits walking around with their middles exposed.

You CAN wear a pencil skirt as long as it does'nt have lines draw in it. See with a tight skirt and lines that stretch over your hips it will make you appear larger. So stick with a solid pencil skirt.

As long as you showcase your waist. I've seen them , black skirt, paired with a pink or white blouse, and a black waist cincher, and it looked umm...slammin!

The important thing isn't what we think - it's what you think, honey. If you think it looks good, wear it. To heck with what anyone else thinks.
