Books are better, all the way. i love #1, #3, and #6
Movies....are ok. not too great of a translation...LOTR was MUCH better at capturing the "feel" of the whimsical to the movies. HP movies are much more contrived, feel stale, even w/ all the "magic." i was disappointed =T if i had to choose, i think #3 is best, simply because the plot in that book was so interesting. altho it still took out a lot of things, i actually flowed quite well, unlike 1 & 2. and don't get me started w 4, where Dumbledore pushed harry and switched his accents. uh uh.

yeah the books are all great i dont have to worry bout the books.accept that when jk rowling said 1 of the 3 main characters would die.hehehe.the movies, i wish christopher columbus would direct it.he really show the magic.diagon alley and everything.they dont even go to diagon alley anymore.i hope the other directors can do as good get creative with creature in the movies and other magical things in the movies.i didnt like the 3rd movie the most out of all 4.in the 4th movie.i like the dragon scene it was cool.but one wish i have for hp movies is christopher columbus would direct it again.he is great

I love all the books, because they are so funny, with great characters and plots. I like the 6th book best, because of all the huge things that happen in it. I also love how Ron and Hermione finally got together! The movies are also great, although the first two with Chris Columbus as director were the best, in my opinion. The third and fourth were good, but definitely not as true to the books.

Really enjoyed all the books although there is much darkness beginning in the 4th book. But that is the story line isn't it? Harry has to fight the evil. I love all the Harry Potter movies but my current favorite is number 3. I love that Harry starts getting to know more about his parents through Professor Lupin & finally gets to meet someone outside of Hogwarts who cares for him like family - Sirius. My opinion.

I loved all the books..... the 4th movie wasnt that great, neither weas the 3rd. I think the 5th movie, which is in filming now, will be really good. Did you hear that in the last book, 2 MAJOR charachters will die??? let me make my bets now..... I am guessing randomly.......Ron and Voldemort??? just a random guess
Hope this helped you!

I love the books, but, actually... the third movie was the only movie I liked. I found the 1st and 2nd one poorly acted, poorly directed, and the only reason I even watched the third is because Cuaron is a brilliant director. Hiw use of fog in that movie was brilliant.

The books are awesome.
The movies are ok.
But then again the movies based on a book are never as good as the book.
