Can you lose interest in someone as a friend without a reason?

(I prefer females to answer this) I know this girl for a couple of months and I’m not sure what’s going on.We were cool for the first three weeks, but it changed ever since she got back with her boyfriend.She would barely talk to me when we’re in class and she stopped saying hi to me.But when we go study together,shes back the way she was during the first three weeks, energic and talkative.It doesn’t sound like her bf wants her to stop hangin out with me cuz she still went studying and hanged out with me two other times after she got back with boyfriend.Long story short, the semester has ended for about a month now and I haven’t spoke to her since.
Did she lose interest in me even as a friend after she got back with her byofriend?Should I call her and try to hang out again?Do girls usually lose interest in a person even as a friend after they gotten into a relationship?

are you a guy or gal?... It doesn't matter to me if I have a bf or not, I would not stop talking to my old friends since bfs dont stay for a long time lol and I love the friends I have. but it sometimes happen when I don't feel comfortable around a friend for no good reason for a short time

i understand what you're going through. my best friend in kinder and college were males. i dont exactly "love" them like i love my bf, but i do love them in a special way because they are simply that: best friends. but the feelings that we feel for best friends can be a tad too confusing sometimes-- as a very thin line separates love from friendship.

from the very little information that you gave, i will guess that your friend's bf got jealous of you. she wont say hi in class or talk to you in public to avoid fights with bf. he let you study with her because like anyone else they both want to be cool about it. but see, a guy is a guy-- and a guy in love can be very protective of his girl. knowing that her bf might be a little jealous of you, your friend would opt to stay away. it DOESNT mean that she likes you less-- it DOESNT mean that she used you when she needed company and dumped you when she got her bf back-- it could simply mean that she's caught in a no-win situation. she had to choose between keeping your friendship and keeping her bf. no offense meant, it simply happens. its just the way it is with bf/gf.

the best way to iron this out is to call her. be open and simply ask if she still wants to be friends with you. ask if you offended her in any way or if your friendship is bothering her bf. if she says that bf is jealous, then hear her out. if you really like her as a friend then offer a quiet kind of friendship-- tell her you're around if she needs a friend; and no matter if she cant say hi or talk to you in public, tell her that you understand and you can still be friends, no matter. i think she would appreciate that.

If you are a guy (it's my guess you are) then the situation is easy to explain. When she was without a boyfriend, she was enjoying your "male" companionship and friendliness. Now that she's back with her boyfriend, her need for your company has lessened. She hasn't really lost interest in you, you just aren't so important to her anymore.

"REAL" friends will be there NO MATTER who or what comes into the picture. If not ever speaking to her again will suit you fine then leave it alone. If it would bother you to not at least 'know' what happened, then I would call her and ask her what is going on?
