I have a swelling on my right cheek around my jaw and my ear. It sticks out a little bit and if i look straight at a mirror, i can see it. But when i move my skin around by it, the lump doesn't move, so i think it might be internal. I did camp out a few nights ago, before it started, could it be a bug? It'd be great if a doctor could answer this.

Do you have any other symptoms? Like jaw or tooth pain? Itchiness, redness, fever, etc? It could be many different things. You should see a doctor to get a real diagnosis. Good luck.

I'm not a doctor, but have known people with similar symptoms due to TMJ (Temporo-Mandibular Joint) problems. TMJ problems are often (but not always) genetic, to talk to your folks and see if they've ever had such problems. It might be a place to start.

i am not a doctor but i think you should go see a doctor and let thm look at this, could be a bug bite but then again, one never knows. but to be safe about things, you should let the doc see it.

it is likely an enlarged pre-auricular lymph node. it might be a parotid gland blockage, a cyst, or a tumor.
is it painful? and fever? and earache? and sore throat?
it's hard to know without being able to examine it. if it persists and gets larger and is rock-hard and painless, go see a doc. if it hurts and you have a fever, go see a doc.

Sounds like it could be an abscess. Go to your dentist.
