Well if you live in the Los Angeles area there's this place called Entertainment partners. You go there and u only have to pay like $20 and they take ur pic and get all ur info... casting directors go here when they are looking for extras.. or sometimes evern leading rolls.. (if you're a member of the screen actors guild ...SAG)... but they can get you work like at least 4 days a week on different TV shows... movies and commercials!.. It's pretty awsome and easy... it's in Burbank of like flower St. or something.. I forgot now.. but u can look them up....
Good Luck!

It depends on how old you are.

If you are in high school or younger, first join your school drama club and participate in every production. Even if you don't get an acting role, do tech work.

You can also audition for local professional theater productions. If you can't find listings in the local papers, then call the theater yourself and ask.

Go to a university with a strong theater program. Most of the really good ones make you audition to get in.

While in college, continue to work in college productions & amatuer theater productions. You may also have a film program at your school, and student filmmakers are always looking for actors for their films. Check the local paper and trade papers for "open call" auditions, and go on every audition you can.

That's how you get started.

Or there's a new service in London which if you message me I can tell you about as I only have the email address and phone number of them but I don't think I'm allowed to post that on here. They build an acting CV for you, take your headshot and get auditions for you.

- Get involved in anything and everything to do with acting
- Go to local plays, and get to know the actors, basically they can tell you more staff
