I mean towards each other I don't understand why if we are the same race, why can't we love, help, and teach each other, instead of kill and rob from each other.

Without a defined culture and a feeling of individuality we tend to distrust eachother. Also it goes back to the old slave mentality of the house and field slaves. So jealously and hatred is truly rampid and there is no end in sight.

You know I really hate to see this question or hear it all the time.

So what...we are the same race. Does that mean that you agree or have the same values of every black person in the world. NO!! No one in other ethnic neighborhoods are perfectly in sync. There are gangs, drug dealers, thieves, murderers, and prostitutes in every race. The only difference is the media. The media puts anything a black person does wrong on the news, radio, etc. You've never seen gangs like the Latin Kings or Asian gangs....Please we aren't the only race that fight others among the same race. It's just more advertised to keep the stereotypical view of black people alive and booming. Violence isn't a black thing, it's a world thing.

It''s not only the black community killing each other, the white community kill each other too. Remove ALL drugs from the streets and they'd find something else. It's nothing to do with colour, it's to do with mixing with a people dealing in the same shame and illegal activities, - when things go wrong (or so they think), the only way they know to sort it is violence. Shame because violence begets violence. The UK courts need to be much harder with this type of criminal - stop being so 'soft' -

I believe the past has a lot to do with it. Empire and colonial rulers believed in devide and conquer. If the slaves or under classes joined together they might have got their freedom. So, they were taught to mistrusts each other and inform on each other to get favour from the one with power. Education has a lot to do with it too.I have lived in the West Indies and was amazed to see how hard they worked against each other. Families stuck together as a group, but inside the family was mayhem jealousy and greed. But everyone was so poor it was not surprising, it was grab to survive. Put the next person down to get a higher place in society.

i AM FROM AFRICA LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING.

aFRICANS DO NOT CARRY THE SAME IDENTITY ABOUT THEM WE ALL COME FROM DIFFERENT TRIBES AND OTHER TRIBES ARE STRONGER THAN THE OTHER ONES. OTHER BLACK PEOPLE WERE SUPERIOR THAN THE OTHERS . In your country i presume you are from america it was carried by the slavenot only simple blacks were carried there was royal bloods, there were the strong ones and the weak one there were the quiet ones and the clever ones and the strongest came out alive from the ship maybe much to the disgust of the strongest tribe and blue bloods hence were passed on fro m generation to generation. its there in your heads you feel it too that you are superior and theres a reason for it you feel that you do not belong its your ancestors my friend . Its a fact and it will never go away. And the other thing all blacks there in america are not really all blacks if you move past that you might get somewhere

Even though I am not black, I feel this problem is among men of all races. There are good people and bad people. Just try to look for the good in all people, if possible. If people don't treat you right, then don't consider them your friends. People need to love and respect themselves before they can love and respect other people.

whiteflag is saying somethign important here. Ive lived in south africa (when apartheid was still in force) the fighting amongst black tribes was incredible. When apartheid was overthrown it got even worse from what my sister tells me. Whether its been carried on in america, I dont know, but its not improbable, its only a few hundred years after all. Wish I could read some studies on it.

Whiteflag said it best:
Get past it !
Stop thinking people owe you something.
Get out of the rut,and quit feeling sorry for yourselves.
If you want something real bad,you will try real hard.
The people you are talking about are content, they have to want to change.

i don't think they're any worse than those in the white community... there are people of all races who, for some unknown reason, seem to have great difficulty co-existing peacefully and happily with their fellow countrymen...
