you cannot define specific purpose for it every person can have a reason different from others for spending time on it for me for example i use just as intertainment,reading interesting answers of others sometimes I really pose a question which i hope some one in some place knows the answer even I use it as a practice for my english and....

well for me it makes the day go by a lot fast at work.... and because everything else is blocked here at work... if i want information on something that i cant read... people will look it up for me and post it sometimes.... i learn stuff too.... nothing too important but still... its entertaining
