I like Nabokov, i think he needs a change in scenery, especially since Toskala has developed quickly and the sharks by the sounds of it are leaning more towards Toskala being their number one. Where would he go, im unsure of though, no where in the West as pretty much everybody, a couple of exceptions are set in goaltending, the east maybe another story. He might do well in a place like Pittsburg where goaltending is an issue or Boston with the deaprture of Raycroft, The Islanders can definetly use some one other than Diepetro (i think i butchered that) Atlanta is another. Back In the west, i think the Kings need some help, but i dont think the sharkls would send him to a division rival,Columbus is another possiblity.

It's very hard to say, but I think San Jose needs to make a decision about which goalie they're keeping. Based on past performance, Nabokov is good enough to be a starter on a lot of teams in this league. It looks like Toskala has won the battle in net for the Sharks for now. Nabokov could get them a good defenseman in trade to solidify their back line. After that, whether Nabokov is getting better or worse is someone else's problem.

at the beginning of the season Taskala was back up, and the Sharks where struggling and not even in sight of the playoffs. and you as a back up will try to work harder to get the #1 job. then the Sharks did a few trades and it change the team and Nabokov didn't change with the team and struggled in nets even when they where winning and Taskala got more chances of playing because of this. but come this season Nabokov will be #1 and will be till the last game of the season, he will come back and the Sharks will be a tough team to beat cause he will be in nets.

like a fine wine he gets better each year most goalies mature a little later than other positions now these guys get pucks shot at near 70/90 mph so the 1st couple of yrs they are lets say a different breed

would keep and play Nabakov. The only way I would move him is I got blown over with an offer from another team. Great goalies are hard to come by.

I think he's on the decline....
Although a change of scenery may be all he needs. If they were to trade him and get a solid forward or D-man in return, they could easily be the favorite to take it all the way provided Toskala stays healthy.

Poor Nabbie. He keeps getting these Finnish back ups who turn out to be better than him. Unless I got a great offer for him tho, I'd keep him. But I would start Vesa Toskala. BTW ... Love that name. It has testosterone written all over it. But its a good thing that he only has one "s" in his name because "vessa" in finnish means toilet. :(
