The motherboard is the brain of your computer. The motherboard is where the memory, the hard drive, cd, dvd, sound cards, etc. are all plugged into. The motherboard holds the CPU which is the computer's processor. The mother board hold all the chips, timers, expansion slots, etc. that make your computer function. In relation to the human body, the computer is like the human body as a whole, the mother board is like the brain, stores all the information to make all the other parts of the body function properly. The "Motherboard" in a computer is the main piece. If you were to open the side of your computer, you will a large circuitboard. This is where you plug in your CPU, RAM, Network Card, cables that go to your HDD, and Floppy drive.
