I mean for excessive masturbation or in the case of masturbation addiction. Would a device such as the CB3000 be suitable or is it unethical?

Its becoming a problem as he got sacked from his last job for masturbating during works time and also he has got a written warning from his current employer about it.

Unless they agree to it, I would say unethical. If they do acknowledge that they have a problem and need to stop then great give it to them.

I'm not sure if your additional details were added after the comments or does no one read. If this has gotten him fired then he IS doing it in public and it IS a problem. He can be arrested for what some seem to think is simply pleasuring himself. While it would be best for him to agree to a device, if he lives in your home and eats your food, you have a right to make him stop. Specially in this case, if he can't keep from getting fired or written up. While this may not be talked about much many parents do this to their adolescent boys. Masturbation is not necessary just a compulsion.

If you want to get him to give it a try, say just while out of the house, that might help him to get some control. There are much cheaper metal devices on Amazon. It's a good way to start. The ones with a simple padlock, like the CB?000's are easy to break out of, so it would mainly be an aid if he agrees to try it. Keep the key at home so he knows he can get out of it when he is back home. Who knows he might think it's looks cool.

You put a chastity belt on a teen aged boy and I'll show you a kid that could pick a lock. As long as they're not rubbing one out in public, what is the harm?

Why do you want him to stop. Let him pleasure himself. Its better than him going out and having sex with girls. His hand is disease free and he cant impregnate it
