lipstick is just so old. you should just wear a clear or tinted lip gloss, its much better and makes your lips look shiny. i recommend rimmel wet loom shine, they've got it in a few different colours

Choose a natural color that complements your lip and skin tone. It should be one or two shades darker than your natural lip color. Don't buy based on what looks good in the tube, test it if possible. If it's not possible, then hold the tube next to your face and see how much difference there is in the mirror. For a good natural look, match your undertones.
You might want to start with a gloss or something lighter than lipstick until you get a good idea about what colors look good on you.

Keep the deep and rich shads for evening wear. They often look too dark for daytime.
If you don't know what to look for, go to the cosmetics counter at your department store and get a free makeover. Then you can buy the same shade (or at least one close to it) at your regular drug or grocery store for much less. Experiment with different shades and brands until you find one you love.

I have the same color eyes and medium skin tone, I look good in light maroons for dressy ocassions or a light brown/mauve for casual, and if you want to look sexy, go for a dark color, not bold but more of a light maroon or pinkish/mauve. Try looking for a avon or mary kay rep in your area and get some samles off them. Or go to the mall and brush a dab on the back of your hand, if it looks good there it will more than likely look good on your lips. I hate picking lip stick b/c there are so many colors to chose from, different brands and gees the endless possibilities. Good Luck

I have a similar colouring and I wear browny colours. My fave lippie at the moment is a Rimmell Vinyl Lip Gloss in a browny shade. Can't remember the exact nameof the colour. Whenever I wear it I get compliments on it.

The rule for lipsticks depends on what eye make up you wear.
Light make up on the eyes = Reds, Pinks and dark browns
Dark make up on the eyes = pale, neutral colours

What's your race? if you belong to the chinese race, you will look best if you wear lipstick with pale to neutral undertones. You should not wear dark red lipstick coz it will make you look like a cheap prostitute. If your skini is brown like most Filipinos, Indonesians and Thai, you can get away with red-brown shade.

I mean this absolutely seriously, find a local Mary Kay or Avon rep and ask for samples! Another option is to head to the mall and go to the makeup counters.
You really need to see what looks good on you.
I used to pick my own lipstick colors based on what I liked. Best thing I ever did was ask the gal at the makeup counter to put makeup on me and for HER to pick all the colors.
They are colors I wouldn't have chosen and they looked FANTASTIC on me.

I have a similar skin tone, but deep brown eyes with dark hair. I have always found that deep berry colors are good for me. And with your eyes being so pretty, you don't want to over enhance them with eye makeup, so you go a little bolder with your lip color.

Ummmmmmmm, you forgot us crossdressers dear. As for lip stick, I use the Rimmel range. I would not try the bright pinks, maybe the lighter plum colours and the lighter reds?
