I have a good job. It pays well, the work is pretty easy, but I have a boss who never comes to work and expects me to carry all the load. I have been offered another job that pays a little better, but requires travel. I will have some (not all of them) expenses to pay out of pocket, but they will be tax deductable. I feel there is more of a career with the new job offer, but it is also more of a risk. I am 26 years old and really want to make a solid decision for my future. Help me choose, please!

I am not married and I have no children. I can support myself well with either income, but the job where I am is more secure. My background is in Graphic Design, and both jobs are marketing related, but the new one would be more business to business interaction.

Better do it now while young. What's the worst that can happen? If it doesnt work out you can work somewhere else.

to me it sounds like your boss is a very careless person. Usually bosses should be on time for work everyday and if they are not there it is for a good reason. I think that you should take the job that best fits your needs. This job you have pays well but you end up doing all of the work. The other job pays better but you have to travel and sometimes pay at your own expense. If I were you I would see if there are any other oppurtunities available to you. i don't think that you want to travel all of time because it can get boring and exausting. if you work in a place were your boss has a boss i would confront the head boss and tell he or she what is going on. Maybe the head boss will confront your boss and tell them what is happening. but that will only work in some cases. just trust your own instinct. if you feel that this new job has more of a career to it then go ahead and if it doesn't work out your life is not over there is always jobs out there that you can apply for.

OK
1. do you have children
2. is your home paid for
3. are you married
4. do you have pets that will be cared for
5. what about your bills who will pay them while your gone.
6. how long a time will you be gone
you need to ask these thing before jumping into anything and see all the options and
7. does it have good health care plan
and what can you expect in this new place and can you move up and one day be Vic.
think and then ask god to help you make the next move.

I'd wait. I would take a job that I'd have to spend money to make money. Even if it is tax deductible. I feel like if you look harder a better job will come along.

Well, your present dillema seems to have two possible resolutions:

1. Stay. If you do this you will experience more of the trouble that you are experiening now.

2. Go. But if you do it will be double.

Do it now. So later on down the road you don't think to yourself what could've been. Your also young and have many opportunities.
