Not much of a difference these days. Scientists have to dream up cataclysmic destruction scenarios in order to get funding. The Y2Kbug and Global Warming come immediately to mind. Basically these days you have to be a good salesman to be either. How sad is that? Science has become big biz in this country, it is no longer objective in any way. That's the sad part.
