I,m not interested in laim insults to harley davidsons from victory owners because we harley owners have heard any and all you got. so lets please just use facts if there really are any. no jokes about oil leaks 30 years ago. or having to push the old girls home. because thirty years ago polaris owners would be pushing a snowmobile. and i'd rather be pushing my harley everyday than riding a snowmobile with wheels to a biker bar!

my main concern here is what makes polaris victory owners think that there motorcycles are so much greater in performance & reliability than the GOD FATHER of all motorcycles. I personally ride a 1977 harley flh and would like to race a victory on pinks. if any victory owner out there would like to get there so fast factory custom junk taken away from them on a show called pinks please contact them at www.pinks.com dealers and factory welcome

Victory has not proven themselves to be viable competition against any motorcycle company. This guy that calls himself HD william is just a fabricated harley owner that does not even own a Harley he is just here to bash them. Paul s is a loser to. These 2 guys should get together they would make good but buddies.

In my personal opion when it really comes down to it nothing.. I have owned Harleys several of them from the sporty to dyna's to the dresser and back to the dyna! This should not be a question about the two bikes in question, but about all of the bikes out there. There is no real answer to this question, it is all an opinoin of the rider of the bike it's self and to how the rider rides or when or how they ride it and a preferance!! I think the Victory is a very nice bike. Right before my last Harley purchase I rode several bikes including the Victory. The Victory dealer were I take my Polaris quad to, let me take their test ride bike for the weekend when I was deciding on what to buy, and in my opinion it is a very good bike. It handled good had plenty of power and speed, but the only thing that took me back to the HD Dealer was for the fact that I always owned a Harley and I know the machine. The Victory is a relativley new company so that was one of my concerns, as for parts and upgrades and for the fact that I work on my own bike. I knew buying my Harley that there are many of companies who sell parts for them. And that no matter were I go I will always find a Harley Dealer or a Bike shop that sells aftermarket parts and most likely will have the part I want or need on stock. As for the guy who said his brother sucked a valve and called it the Victory a P.O.S. this has happened too Harley's to. There is not one Harley owner who can not say that they or someone they know has not had a problem at some time. Remember these are machines and machines do break from time too time and it can happen to anyone of us on any bike, just like a freind of mine who bought a new Honda that is waiting for his new motor too arrive on a 10 month old machine!!!

I think Harley Davidson because it has been around longer. It more well known and in the past 10 years it's a better motorcycle then ever before. There are more dealerships then Victory has and when you ride a HD people look at you wishing they had bought a Harley. Of course you get a much better resale value then any bike on the road.

Only time will tell if a Polaris motorcycle is as good as a Harley.
I usually think about it this way. If I had to choose between the two, after owning it for ten years, which bike would I rather have.
A ten year old Polaris would be a big question mark.
A ten year old Harley, if taken care of, would still have good resale value and would still be a good bike.

flyatb said it best i work at a dealership that sells both and they are great products that appeal to different people i have ridden both sides many times and if are comparing stock bikes the victory is faster but the build up potential on the hd is there and victory falls a little short victory does tend to back there product a little better some times Harley loses site of the little guy that's all i have to say keep the shiny side up and the insults to yourself

i don't think there is anything better about them. IT just comes down to a matter of do you like the bike or not you have to admit they are nice looking bikes. and some people just don't want a Harley as crazy as that may sound. but both bikes are nice and Harley does have a lot of cool toys for there stuff. but again it just comes down to what do you like i have taken a victory for a ride and smooth ride for driver my wife the rider said she felt every bump in the road. But my buddy love his victory

my brother bought a NEW 8-ball in '05 , and had to push the damn thing home (on a full tank) 3 weeks after he got the P.O.S.! Sucked valve ! 4 months later he got a harley sporty. no problems since ! As for me, I woudn't trade my harley for nothin'!
By the way, I'd report taffscott1 for abuse. under 'neither a question nor an answer', for false accusations, and for being a retarded douche-bag!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you're getting a little too wrapped up in which bike is better--like going postal on whoever Paul S is. Why is your opinion alone not good enough for you? If those fools want to ride mopeds why is it your concern? Regardless, 4 wheels are always better than 2.

Other than a much better engine with 100cc's, not much. And you know those Victory owners didn't have to spend the $25k I did to get their bikes! And who wants a Victory anyway? Why not be like everyone else and get a Harley?
