If so, how can you tell you're obsessed?

Yes I have. Being obsessed is about doing or thinking the most ridiculous things. It's natural to think about the person you like all the time but I truly believe that if the person doesn't desire you in return, can cause obsession.
This can be dangerous when you start checking every little face expression he makes, who he's looking at, analyzing every move he makes to look for a signal that he like you back, becoming very jealous if he speaks to another girl, stalking, false accusations, having thoughts like ," If I can't have him, no one can.", giving every other female dirty looks if she comes in any contact with him or even walking in his view to take his attention away from you and on to her, threatening.
These are usually obsessive behaviors which aren't healthy at all. There's a difference between really loving someone and only thinking of your own desire. Obsession is a selfish emotion and has nothing to do with love.

If you are obsessed you will ignore every warning signal that screams "HE IS NO GOOD" because you are completely mesmerized by his gorgeous looks. Us women can be such suckers for a cute face. Also, listen to your MOM. She will tell you. How come nobody ever asks their Mom. Because you probably already know she will tell you something you already know but don't won't to admit. yes, lots of times, in a small way. I had a thing for Ron Perlman as Vincent until I saw him without the make-up. As a teen, each guy I had a crush on was a mini-obsession. Pirates of the Caribbean and Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow is my current celebrity crush.

yes, I am obsessed with my partner I cant stop thinking about him all day at work, all night in bed, maybe its just the really damn good sex, but yes im totally obsessed with him
