I know single women who wear them to keep the wolves at bay, and married men who don't because they can be dangerous on the job - what's your story?

I wear my ring, but my husband does not. He works on a ship and he could actually loose a finger if it gets caught on something. Unlike a lot of guys he really wanted to wear it, but I told him we could replace the ring but not his finger and he needed to take it off.

I'm married and my husband and I both wear our rings.
However, I work in a lab, where I change in and out of latex gloves all day. I only wear my wedding band, not my engagement ring, since I'm afraid of the raised diamond getting caught on the gloves and either puncturing them or being lost when I remove them. My wedding band has a channel of diamonds on it, but has a flush surface, so I don't have to worry about it getting caught on anything.

My husband, who will eventually be a physician, can wear his as long as he's not doing surgery. Surgeons he knows wear their wedding bands on a chain around their neck. They say that wearing it on a chain keeps the symbol of their love closer to their heart (Awww...isn't that sweet?)

I always thought, though, it was so they could tuck the ring and chain into their scrubs whenever they see a hot nurse coming their way. Hee hee.

My hubby and I joke around about removing our rings at various times (like when we're out dancing -- so we both get more attention from the opposite sexes), but we've never done it. We're both lawful good. ^__^

No, I don't wear a ring because I'm single. However, I'm a man and things are different for men and women. You don't want a man that will try to pick you up with you wear a ring. He would be no good!

I am a married man but I do not wear my wedding band because I got sick of taking it off and on when I did work around the house. Which would invariably lead me to panic when I could not find it right away. Plus, I just could not stand wearing jewelry!

no
yes

since I had never worn jewelry, i found a wedding ring very uncomfortable and itchy but I wore it most of the time for the first few years of my marriage, my wife didn't really care so I stopped

also, the chemical plant where I work does not allow rings in the plant, and I'm sure I would forget to take it off when I went in the plant or take it off and lose it

my ring has a nice home in my wife's jewelry box

I wear a commitment ring. It's just a plain silver band on my ring finger on the RIGHT hand (as opposed to the marriage finger on the left)

I am commited to my boyfriend and people usually get the hint I'm taken.
