Yes, the village. I saw through the plot in about 3 nanoseconds, and then yawned my way through waiting for something remotely interesting to happen.

I also found 'Don't look now' failed to live up to the hype.

Mine is The Exorcist

Something beyond comprehension is happening to a little girl on this street, in this house. A man has been called for as a last resort to try and save her. That man is The Exorcist.

Based on the 1971 novel by William Peter Blatty, The Exorcist marries three different scenarios into one extraordinary plot. A visiting actress in Washington, D.C., notices dramatic and dangerous changes in the behavior and physical make-up of her 12-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, a young priest at nearby Georgetown University begins to doubt his faith while dealing with his mother's terminal sickness. And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity for a show-down with an old demonic enemy.

Mine was Hellraiser

As a child, I was allowed to watch any horror film I wanted, except Hellraiser

This of course put the fear of God into me and I always reasoned that it must be horrific if this was the one film I wasn't allowed to watch

A few years ago, i plucked up the courage and....Nothing. Good film, but did it scare me? Not one bit. Bit horrible in places, but that was it! Guess back in the day though it would have been horrific

The Blair Witch Project. I don't think a scary film has ever been so hyped up but I sat there in the cinema thinking it was a wind up.
