i bet someone asked the same question of albert einstein. there will always be someone to take his place eventually.
but who knows he might just find out everything about the universe himself before then. lol

I doubt anyone could fill his shoes. Maybe in another generation of two the world may be lucky enough to gain the second Stephen Hawking.

He still is the youngest he wil outlive the others and by that time there will be a physical solution to his medical problem.
On the other hand some high school student will eventually prove that black holes dont exist except in the caves of the earth.
Then there is no need to go any further. Problems solve themselves.

I wish I knew...there are some big minds out there...(but obviously not on here..) But, I am not sure there are many, if any, at his level. I guess there is only one Einstein a generation & Mr Hawking was ours...
