I started to notice there are semen stains on my 12 year old son's pants. Is it too early to have wet dreams at such an early age?

Although I'm no doctor, but i'm a male. Puberty can happen early or late.. it depends.. dun worry too much.. But, u must be careful with the way u discipline him. Teens going thru puberty will have changes in their behaviour n attitude. Dun be surprised if he trreats u differently. Try speding time to notice the changes. Deal with him, or talk with him accordingly. Teens at this age will become defiant too.. Puberty is a stage where parents must be careful when handling them. That's when teens problems start. They will be curious and will want to find out more, hence, want to experience it.
Take care!

I think I started at 12; No I was 14. Puberty hits children younger and younger these days. In about a year you'll need to explain what's happening to his body. If he's like me he'll turn beet red when you tell him about morning erections being normal.

As much as you don't want to you'll need to have the other talk with him about girls and what not to do with them.

Finally just be supportive of him, this is one of those time when him needs you to be a friend and a parent.

Could possibly be the remnants of masterbation. Get someone to tell him about Kleenex's and what happens to semen on dark fabrics (gets hard, crusty and very visible!).

No, it is not at all unusual for boys even younger than that to discover themselves. Don't make a big fuss about it to your son, it is a natural response, don't make him feel ashamed or humiliated by this.
