this is my question, my boyfriend told me yesterday that in the past when we were born, humans didn't open their eyes until like a week after, he said is part of the evolutionary process that we undergo every century, is this true ???

babies open there eyes when first born and they only can see
black and white until they are at lest 2-3 weeks old. then during the 3-4th week they start to see color for the first time.

How in the world could he possibly prove this and where did he get his information? It doesn't sound true to me at all. It might be true, but where is the evidence? Also, it takes a lot longer than a century for evolution to work a change like that - it might take millenia.

Newborns open their eyes immediately after birth & thus begins the bonding process between parent & child.

Your boyfriend is putting one over on you!

no he is wrong!! babys open there eyes but they cant see out of them. when they come out of u the light is so bright to them that they open their eye but they arent use to the light yet and their eyes havent settled yet so the vistion is blery first they see the bright stuff then they ll see shadows then the will start to see color then they will see it all

has your boyfriend ever been a puppy?if he has,well i haven't.my eyes were very open when i was born.de only problem is,we cant see on de first day of birth.

no thats crazy if a baby open there eye they open there eye and that's usually when they come out

False. babies have their eyes open in the womb. I know puppies don't open their eyes right away.

They do, but not much it does take about a week for them to fully open their eyes.

I think your boyfriend is very wrong.IF you look at newborns today. Most of them open their eyes moments after birth.
