The older man needs to serve as a father figure. (ie: Be supportive, but not have sex under any circumstances.)
The girl probably has some emotional/mental problems that would only get more complicated by a brief affair with an older man. A long term relations is not possible because the older man will be dead before the girl reaches middle age.
There are also other, darker possiblities:
1) The girl may be out to exploit the older man financially.
2) The girl may be out to avoid a wedding being forced upon her by her family.
