Those who are good-looking can, if they choose, lose their beauty. Those who are not develop other qualities--wit, gregariousness, a pleasant manner. You are indeed right to be troubled that people are arrested by your looks--and look no further. In that sense, personal beauty can indeed be a curse. And there was of course the tragic example of Narcissus. Engaging people in reflective conversation and forming friendships mostly with those who hit the ball back genuinely is one path out of your dilemma. Not accenting your beauty at the expense of character is another. If you work at it, you can find other solutions. Incidentally, a woman once came up to a very handsome Italian actor and condoled with him that age had taken away his good looks. Italy worships personal beauty, and you may find some instructive lessons from reading about how good-looking Italians cope with it. The only problem may be that they are untroubled by their good looks, perhaps because the nation allows for the recognition of qualities other than beauty. Both the life and work of Oscar Wilde may be illuminating.

I know and its really sad that men cant look past that, but you do have to understand that men are like that and they aren't going to change. If you meet someone and they like you for your looks allow him to get to know you and eventually they will like you for who you are....part of meeting someone is being attracted to them..if I wasnt attracted to my husband how can I have great sex with him? Take your beauty and maybe make some money with it do some modeling or something be positive about it :)
