Lots of other reasons, stress, hormonal imbalance, losing to much weight, thyroid problems and other endocrine and female problems.
Also, if you are new with starting your period, often it will be irregular for the first year or so. Or if your are in your 40's or 50's if could be menopause.
You definitely need to see a doctor has he is the only one that can truly determine what is going on.

Of course, stress or difference in nutrition ( for example if you started a diet) or some problems with ovaries (or if you have a cold...) can make you miss a period. But, if your period is regular, better make a pregnancy test, now days even the cheapest ones are very correct, even after a day you get pregnant.

Stress can do it. I haven't had a period since April but I'm not pregnant, my weight is stable and my blood tests came back normal. Suppose it must be stress. The same thing happened in 2001 - I went 6 months without a period. Scared the socks off me! I'm 41.

You can skip, shorten, lengthen, double, or have your cycle change at any time during your life for any reason from stress to too much exercise.
99% of the time its perfectly normal and not worth worrying about.
Much to the chagrin of many doctors women do not cycle like the tide, and were not meant to.

Increased stress or even depression could cause this to happen. Also if you have not had enough Iron in your diet, this would cause your body to wave off if you will your menstruation in order to keep you precious mineral within the body rather then loose them.

Stress, changes in eating habits, especially eating disorders like anorexia & bulemia. Some other hormoral changes &/or illnesses. Age can be a factor, as if a woman is relatively young, her body may still be "adjusting itself" & her cycle, or she may be entering menopause & may be "perimenopausal".

Yes. High levels of stress can cause that (including major lifestyle changes, daily stress, etc) and there is always menopause.

Stress, not eating properly, there could also be an underlining medical condition, or maybe you're just late, if it continues you should see a doctor.
