I would suggest that you make a list of all the things you think you should be doing and then confirm it with your manager.

if you got the job in the first place (i am assuming you didnt lie) then you must have what they are looking for ... it is your managers responsibility to provide help and support to ensure you develop and as such you could turn this negative into a positive by starting to think about your personal development plan using your areas of weakness as a start point.

It does'nt hurt to ask how esle are you gonna get confident. If the people you work are approachable you should have know problem or if your company offers training ask to be trained in whatever aspect you are not confident.Would'nt it be better to ask for help than to just go it alone and keeping making errors that'll just annoy everyone who has to put things right for you.

juliemc hit the nail on the head, find someone you can trust and ask about stuff you dont know or understand, im sure the boss would rather you done it that way than got it wrong and have someone spend time and money cleaning up your error.

Plus it'll make you look keen, make it sound as if you want to make sure youre getting it right and want to make sure you understand rather than sound dumb like you dont have a clue

You should ask. It is better to sound incompetent then people to know that you are incompetent from your job performance. And make sure that you use spell check.
