Forever & ever signifies extra eternity. lol. It's just a form of
allowing one to put emphasis into the normal.

Well, Forever just sounds kinda cynical, like . . . "How long ya been workin' here?" "Seems like forever." But, Forever and Ever sounds romantic, like . . . "Oh, John, tell my how long we'll be together." "Forever and ever, sweetheart." And then John gets lucky. See?
