ya sure but i think it works only on some specifyd stereos

If your car stereo has an input either in front of or behind the unit, you can connect it directly to the player. You can also buy an adapter that sits in your glove compartment to do it as well. You can buy the FM transmitters, but you will not get the volume out of it than if you directly connected the iPod to the stereo.

Both of the above. You can buy the fm transmitter which allows you to broadcast the signal to an fm radio nearby (so you can use the Ipod with your stereo at home or at work as well), or you can buy the cassette add on which just plugs into the ipod and the cassette device plugs into your car cassette player.
