It's silly to call corporate employees slaves. Slaves cannot change jobs. Slaves do not get paychecks. Slaves can't quit. And if you are a slave, the consequences of a bad performance review are very different from those of a corporate employee.

Being a corporate employee can be a very good life, with good benefits--much better than most people could achieve by starting a small business. Most small businesses fail.

They aren't, most people work for small business owners and in public sector jobs. Looking at the entire work force "Corporate slaves" as you call them are the minority so they would not qualify as "most". You are either channeling something wrong in your own life and projecting it on the rest of us or you are just uninformed. Way to throw out a pointless question.
