A learned Proffessor of Asian studies from England went to visit a Zen master. This proffessor had done a lot of research about Zen and now wanted to learn from the great master. He went to Japan and met him. He started telling the Zen master what he already new about Zen. The Master offered him some tea and he accepted. The master poured the tea into the cup and kept pouring after the cup was filled and the tea started to spill on the table. The Professor, who had been talking all along about how much he knew, finally indicated that that was enough, that the cup was alread full and could not take any more tea. The Master then looked at the man and said it is the same with you. How can I teach you Zen if your cup is full? You have to come with an empty cup.
Approach people with an empty cup if you intend to learn.

My personal feeling is that anybody in your situation might getting it right most of the times but not always. Lets make no mistake, there are people who are better than us and there are people who come up with better solutions sometimes. No doubt your're being a critique and may try to get the best out of people but, best way to become better is to be a good listener. To start with we might think the ideas from others are rubbish but on patient hearing and analysis, you never know there could be a best solution.

In the Job sometimes it is really hard to have friends, you have to be really focus in the production and management, to do your job well. The first important step is learn to listen and make them feel they have a point too. Sometimes there are people who are not in charge of any project but they have a incredibly potential to produce. If your way is the best way to do it ,take the time to explain to them that even theirs ways make sense too it could bring some disadvantages. And when they have a point, just recognize it when they are right.

It may be easier said than done but, just do it...I found out the hard way.
By giving people credit and incorporating their ideas into action, you build moral.. Ideas that fail can be a learing experience & help build problem solving skills.
When ideas work out, they built confidence.
Remember..There is no "I" in Team.
