You need to lean back slightly more than normal when you walk to compensate for the heal tiltin you forward. Also, try and make sure you straighten you legs (knees) when taking steps, and I often see girls walking with permanently bent legs (which is a sign of not knowing how to walk in heals.) Try to avoid drains, cobbled stones and walking on uneven surfaces in general, and if you feel that yor are going to fall, dont fight it, as this will more than likely do damage to your ankle....and remember- strut, strut. strut !!

Good posture is essential to walking in heels without wobbling. And strong calf muscles definitely help.
Try walking around your house in heels as practice. Spend extra time going down stairs-that is definitely the trickiest part.

Stand up straight. Good Posture is everything.
Use the balls of your feet to take your weight, this may start to burn which is why you get those gels things...party feet? something like that.
You will find it easier to strut and wiggle. This is not a bad thing.

To walk reasonably well in heels, you need to use your calf muscles and walk like you would if you were on tiptoes. Walking normally in heels is uncomfortable, loud, and funny-looking.
