My question my make you shake your head and wonder but I am looking for a book called the last bassalope? I am pretty sure it has a penguin named oswell in it, but it's been a very long time since I have seen it.

Okay thanks for the bloom country that helped now I remember that it is opus the penguin and I am still looking for the authur of the book and anywhere to find a picture of the last bassalope. Thanks for the help!

It's taken from Bloom County, by Berke Breathed. It was my very favorite cartoon.

The penguin is named Opus, and yes it is Bloom County by Berkley Breathed. Later became Outland.

Previous answers are correct: Bloom County became Outland but now Berkley Breathed has Opus, which is current & "alive & well", which is GREAT!
