I have to fill out a security clearance form. I give it to my new employer and they give it to whoever the government official is that is in charge of these things. Will they look at it?

Employer is not supposed to see the results (i.e. contents) of your background check. If there is a problem that precludes you from working in a certain field, environment, etc., the employer will be told there is a problem. Realistically, I would imagine that HR would get some detail but they, too, cannot disclose.
If you have been a stripper in Manila last summer, it will probably surface but your employer is not supposed to know. Then again, if Mr. Big is partial to strippers - male or female - you may hit the jackpot, so to speak.
