Pluto is still a planet. The word 'planet' has an etymology older than modern astronomy, and though the definition is imprecise, that's ok. A small group of men in wigs and white robes does not own the word "planet", we the people do.
They should have invented their own word. I for one refuse to accept their authoritarian equivocation.

OK people get a grip, It's not like it fell out of the sky or was blown up by a nuclear bomb or anything. Pluto is still there and if you have a powerful enough telescope, you can still see it.
In fact, I've never seen it. Never looked through a big enough telescope. For all I know they could have been kidding us all along about the little ice-ball and have only now decided to come clean. April fool. No Pluto? Well there are some people who don't think we landed on the Moon and they brought back rocks and everything?
Why not make up a planet and then give up on it.?

Frankly speaking I am going to miss Pluto a lot. It was the planet that I admired the most. Pity it is no more regarded as a planet. But it is atleast a planetismal.

Miss it? It's not actually going anywhere, still going to be there. It sucks that it's not a planet, but the Astronomy council wants to add 2 new planets, one of which is much closer to us than Pluto, so there will probably not be 8 for long.

Astrologers are going to miss it, because they talk about Pluto being in the eighth house of Aquarius and all that...If Pluto's not a planet, so it isn't a factor in their astrological readings any longer.

It didn't dissapear.... It is still there.
It is just denoted from planet to dwarf planet.
What's the big diference? We were not intented to go there for holidays during summer, anyway.
Astrologers still will count it as the count Cerres and the rest big asteroids.
RELAAAAAAX.
