I have 4 pc and all are networked. from 4 pc I assigne one pc as a server and the rest of 3 are client. so now I want to when the client computer want to share a file from the server the server ask a user name and passwrod according to share his file I mean all time when the client computer want to share a file from a server it must know the username and the password of server. how can I configure? tell me the procuder and how to configration

You say that one is the "server". Is it running a server OS (like windows server 2000, 2003, Linux , ... etc) The only way to have a true Client / Server relationship is to have an actual "server" setup including Active Directory (if windows based) and Samba (if Linux / Unix based). It is allot to go into, if you go to Microsoft's Technet site, you can find articles on how to install a Windows based server. You can go a Google search to find the same info for both Windows and Unix / Linux.

Just set up permissions on the shared folder on the server...that way they will either have to be logged in as a user in the list, or it will prompt them for a username/password to get in. Right click on the folder and go to Properties...Click on the Security tab and set permissions there.

right click on my computer now go to manage. user and group now give password in guest account. now go to control panal and open guest account now whenever u will try to open any share folder it will ask u guest password. see u
