Well from a fan's point of view, the undertaker is the better wrestler. And he couldn't let someone else beat him. I make sure that if the Undertaker is on TV I watch. Now from a corporate pov, Undertaker is a big draw and Kali isn't. If you get rid of a big crowd favorite, then you'll lose some of the fan base. And a big draw will make you even more money. Example Hulk Hogan.

If the Undertaker looses again to Karli it would look bad on him and Vince. I was told that he was post to be leaving WWE because of health problems.

Because Undertaker is The Phenom. He's the better man. And come on, like it or not he has a gimmick that is loved by millions, he's a veteran and no matter who you are or how many times you beat him the Dead Man will always return and victory is always evident. Whether it be now or later, when you step into the Dead Man's yard, you will Rest In Peace.

Great Khali lost to the Undertaker, because the writers probably didn't want to put him "over," as they say in the business, which means as a higher billed talent than the Dead Man. Khali has zero charisma, can't cut promos, and lots of his matches require editing for TV. Whereas Taker is a pro, and one of the cornerstones of the WWE.

They couldnt let Undertakers HUGE ego crumble because of some silly newcomer, that would have disappointed the fans if Khali won
