Hello, I'm a professional classical guitarist :) I did a search of the questions here for "classical guitar" and got only 4 questions - waaa! Most are about pop guitar, so I'm happy to answer one about my instrument.
Did you know that Paganini was a guitarist as well as a violinist and just about as good on the guitar? So look for some of his Sonatas for Violin and Guitar. There are a whole series of guitar and string quartet pieces by Bocherrini. They are quite lovely. I should mention a modern piece- Dances In the Madhouse by David Leisner. Let me see - I'm sure Itzhak Perlmann did a cd with John Williams (guitarist not the composer) of violin and guitar music and it is well worth having.
Mauro Giuliani wrote a pile of things for violin and guitar, so you could look for that composer. Some are B classical music, some are better. There are a lot of transcriptions out there as well. I'd advise you browse the actual stacks at Borders or B&Noble, and see what they have under Classical Guitar. The Assad Brothers have been recording and touring with Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg- so that's a sure buy. Anything by them. (two guitars and violin) Also look through the Naxos budget line cds - they record a lot lot lot of guitar music of every variety. I would keep an eye out also for anything by Astor Piazzolla for the combo.
You're off on a wonderful world of enjoyment in listening.

You've got to include a little more info than that.I've played guitar for 22 years and I listen to alot of classical music.I also play some Paginini pieces on the guitar even though violin music does not fit very comfortably on the guitar. The guitar is tuned in 4ths and the violin in 5ths.Send me a message and I'll try to help.

Well, I am sure there were hundreds of pieces written that include guitar and violin. My suggestion is to call the radio station and ask. Or see if they have a web site.
