it will be stored in other form, like fat in your body when you work out it will burn and you will become slimmer

thermodynamics addresses your interesting question.

1. energy only changes in form ( is never created or destroyed )

2. energy turned into work results in motion or heat.

3. energy that does neither of the above stays as energy.

to answer your question, nothing happens to energy when work is not done.

When you Say No Work is done, I would assume no useful work or noticeable work. Either energy is storage like battery, potential energy or high temperature, spinning wheel etc. When released they all do work like increasing the temperature of the surroundings in most cases or stored in different form

It is called potential energy.
ie: you hold a ball (potential energy)
you throw the ball at a window...(kinetic energy)
the ball brakes the window.
The speed of the ball combined with its mass, might , (if the speed or the mass or both are "stronger" than the glass), brake the window!
work has been done...the ball is at rest... and became potential energy, once again!

*DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!

Assuming that you are referring to mechanical energy, such as potential energy (in which case it could be due to springs or gravity) or kinetic energy...

"If only internal forces are doing work (no work done by external forces), there is no change in total mechanical energy; the total mechanical energy is said to be "conserved."..."

The movment of the body isnt the only way energy is used up. Mental, emotional and psychic properties of yourself use energy to function.

suppose u r try'n to pull a big mass, that's y u r apply'n mech. energy.but when no work is done here, that means the body doesn't move then the energy u applied is changed another energies like heat, sound.in one word it conserved.

It remains in its same form (potential, kinetic, thermal, etc.)

'Work' is what happens when energy changes form.
