Well, I found the beauty of Singapore was that the town and people were so relaxed and many stores open and interesting that you didn't need to find specific venues to enjoy the place for a few nights.
It all depends on how long you want to stay.
I just found it a nice relaxed friendly place for the 2 nights I was there ... but I did buy a ticket for a movie .. then went out on the street for awhile til it started.
During that time about 3 people started up a conversation wtih me ... because it is strong tourist-oriented, places stay open and you meet people from anywheres!
The airport is absolutely Humungous; it's like a city of its own!
There are great multi-story shopping plazas there ... subway type shopping areas; it really has its own thriving life.

What sort of area are you looking at? Marina bay, ECP and lot of others area
