It depends on the woman and her upbringing. Generally I find that Caucasian women are more 'open minded' to try new things, verses African-American women.
The general stigma there is "will I be a freak if I do this..." versus the Caucasian woman's thinking "I'll do it once if I don't like I'll never do it again."
Of course one of the main sticking points for letting your hair down and getting kinky is Trust.
If you don't trust your partner you'll never relax enough to do something truly kinky.

From my personal experience it has been about 50/50 but I am going on with my research in order to make the results a statistically significant number and also account for changes over time.
